Gene Kim
Author, Researcher, and Founder of IT Revoluti

Gene Kim is a multi-award winning CTO, researcher, and author. He is the founder of Tripwire and served as CTO for thirteen years. His books include The Phoenix Project, The DevOps Handbook, Beyond the Phoenix Project, Accelerate, The Visible Ops Handbook, and Visible Ops Security.

Gene is a huge fan of IT operations and how it can enable developers to maximize throughput of features from “code complete” to “in production” without causing chaos and disruption to the IT environment. He has worked with some of the top Internet companies on improving deployment flow and increasing the rigor around IT operational processes. In 2007, ComputerWorld added Gene to the “40 Innovative IT People to Watch Under the Age of 40” list, and he was named a Computer Science Outstanding Alumnus by Purdue University for achievement and leadership in the profession.

John Willis
CEO & Founder, Botchagalupe Technologies

John Willis has worked in the IT management industry for more than 35 years. Currently he is the CEO & Founder of Botchagalupe Technologies. He formerly held positions as the Vice President of DevOps and Digital Practices at SJ Technologies and Director of Ecosystem Development at Docker. Prior to Docker, Willis was the VP of Solutions for Socketplane (sold to Docker) and Enstratius (sold to Dell). Prior to to Socketplane and Enstratius, Willis was the VP of Training and Services at Opscode, where he formalized the training, evangelism, and professional services functions at the firm. Willis also founded Gulf Breeze Software, an award-winning IBM business partner, which specializes in deploying Tivoli technology for the enterprise. Willis has authored six IBM Redbooks on enterprise systems management and was the founder and chief architect at Chain Bridge Systems.

ohn Willis is Vice President of DevOps and Digital Practices at SJ Technologies. Prior to SJ Technologies he was the Director of Ecosystem Development for Docker, which he joined after the company he co-founded (SocketPlane, which focused on SDN for containers) was acquired by Docker in March 2015. Previous to founding SocketPlane in Fall 2014, John was the Chief DevOps Evangelist at Dell, which he joined following the Enstratius acquisition in May 2013. He has also held past executive roles at Opscode/Chef and Canonical/Ubuntu. John is the author of 7 IBM Redbooks and is co-author of the “DevOps Handbook” and the upcoming Beyond the Phoenix Project. Dr. Nicole Forsgren
Research and Strategy, Google Cloud

Nicole Forsgren is the DORA Lead at Google. She is best known for her work measuring the technology process and as the lead investigator on the largest DevOps studies to date. She has been a professor, sysadmin, and performance engineer. Nicole has been awarded public and private research grants (founders include NASA and the NSF), and her work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals. Nicole earned her PhD in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona, and she is an Academic Partner at Clemson University and Florida International University.

Jayne Groll
Co-founder & CEO, DevOps Institute

Jayne Groll is co-founder and CEO of the DevOps Institute (DOI). Jayne carries many IT credentials including ITIL Expert™, Certified ScrumMaster, Certified Agile Service Manager, DevOps Foundation and is a Certified Process Design Engineer (CPDE)™. Her IT management career spans over 25 years of senior IT management roles across a wide range of industries. Chris Miller

24 years working in technology, with the last 15 years in information security, Chris have had the privilege of running the application security program at three organizations, including Global/Fortune 500 companies. He started working with DevOps methodology several years ago in one of these programs. His current position is Principle Security Program Manager at Veracode, where he helps key accounts to quickly and effectively stand-up or revitalize their application security program. Chris currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

JP Morgenthal

JP Morgenthal is CTO, Application Services and Distinguished Technologist for DXC. He is an internationally renowned thought leader in the areas of digital transformation, modernization, integration, and cloud computing. JP has served in executive roles within major software companies and technology startups. Areas of expertise include  software strategy & architecture, application development, infrastructure and operations, DevOps, microservices and IoT. He routinely advises C-level executives on the best ways to use technology to derive business value. JP is a published author with four trade publications with his most recent being “Cloud Computing: Assessing the Risks”. JP holds both a Masters and Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Hofstra University.

Tracy Ragan
CEO, DeployHub

Tracy is CEO and Co-Founder of DeployHub. She is expert in configuration management practices, continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous deployment. She currently serves as a board member of the Continuous Delivery Foundation (Linux Foundation) where she is the General Member Representative. She also served on the Eclipse Foundation board as a ‘founding member’ for 5 years. Tracy began her odyssey in the area of configuration management as  a consultant to Wall Street firms building out ways to improve the software build & deploy process through automation (now called DevOps). In 1995, she co-founded OpenMake Software, a private software company that specializes in the automation of cross platform, and accelerated software builds (compile/link standards). In 2017, Tracy and her team recognized the shift in pipeline management  that the new container based architecture would require. This led to the formation of DeployHub, a new product and company focused on bringing microservice configuration mapping, sharing and deployment to high performing development teams. Ortelius was launched as an open source solution for microservice mapping in early 2019 based on a core of the DeployHub code base.

Jim Hagan
Team Lead, Wayfair

Jim leads Wayfair’s metrics team which builds and maintains real-time metrics infrastructure used by hundreds of services deployed on thousands of machines (in the cloud and on premise). Over the past few years, Jim has managed the gradual replacement of the Graphite stack with InfluxDB. He is also a co-organizer of the Boston Time Series Meetup. Prior to coming to Wayfair, he worked for many years in the field of Geospatial technology, most notably as a Principle Architect for TomTom, where he worked on various algorithms and systems used in modern digital map production and location based services. Jim was born, raised, and currently resides in the greater Boston area.

Shiri Ivtsan

Shiri is an experienced cloud solutions architect and productmanager and holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management. Prior to joining WhiteSource as a product manager, Shiri worked for various companies where she held roles in R&D, such as solutions architect, R&D team leader and product manager.

Stephen Chin
Senior Director, Developer Relations at JFrog

Stephen Chin is Senior Director of Developer Relations at JFrog, author of Raspberry Pi with Java, The Definitive Guide to Modern Client Development, and Pro JavaFX Platform. He has keynoted numerous Java conferences around the world including Oracle Code One (formerly JavaOne), where he is an 8-time Rock Star Award recipient. Stephen is an avid motorcyclist who has done evangelism tours in Europe, Japan, and Brazil, interviewing hackers in their natural habitat. Baruch Sadogursky

Baruch Sadogursky (a.k.a JBaruch) is the Head of Developer Relations and a Developer Advocate at JFrog. His passion is speaking about technology. Erik Costlow
Developer Relations, Contrast Security

Erik is a software security expert with extensive Java experience. He manages developer relations for Contrast Security and public Community Edition. Contrast weaves sensors into applications, giving them the ability to detect security threats based on how the application uses its data. Erik was the principal product manager in Oracle focused on security of Java 8, joining at the height of hacks and departing after a two-year absence of zero-day vulnerabilities. During that time, he learned the details of Java at both a corporate/commercial and community level. He also assisted Turbonomic’s product management team to achieve $100M annual revenue in data center / cloud performance automation.
Erik lead product management for Fortify static code analyzer, a tool that helps developers find and fix vulnerabilities in custom source code. He has also published several developer courses through Packt Publishing on data analysis, statistics, and cryptography.

Wayne Ariola

Wayne Ariola is a recognized thought leader on software testing topics such as continuous testing, risk-based testing, service virtualization, and API testing. Wayne has created and marketed products that support the dynamic software development, test, and delivery landscape.
